Camping Pods have become increasingly popular and as a structure are very functional and effective. However we have now put our own characterful twist on the Camping Pod idea with “Drybeck’s Wooden Cabins”. Built locally we think you will love them!
The Wigloo is the first of our takes on the Camping Pod concept. Looking a bit like a wooden igloo we have christened it the ‘Wigloo’. It is similar in size and style to a yurt and with a circular skylight in the middle of the roof. However it is more substantial and better insulated.
It contains a double bed, and a double futon sofa bed, sleeping 4 people and also has a wood burning stove and electric lighting.
Immediately behind The Wigloo we have constructed it’s own private cookhouse set in a wooded glade. This contains table and chairs a double hob, mini oven, fridge, running water and all necessary crockery and utensils.
Also in the glade near the cookhouse is the Wigloo’s own private wood fired wooden hot tub. This a delightful 2 person hot tub in a beautiful private setting. If you have the children with you they can use it in the day and then enjoy it yourselves in the evening knowing they are tucked up just a couple of yards away.
