Yurts – Croglin

Our luxurious and magical yurt, Croglin, nestles unobtrusively on the river bank. It is handcrafted by the Lakeland Yurt Company from locally grown timber into the perfect rural retreat.

Step through the doors into a stunning, beautifully appointed interior with vintage furniture and soft furnishings either re-cycled or personally chosen by Paula. The wood-burning stove will soon chase away the evening chill for you to then wake up to the sound of the birds and the river.

On fine evenings you can sit outside by a roaring fire whilst listening to the owls and the splash of fish jumping in the river.

Croglin has a double bed and double futon sofa bed so can sleep up to 4 people.

Immediately alongside Croglin we have constructed it’s own private cookhouse. This contains table and chairs a double hob / oven, fridge, running water and all necessary crockery and utensils.

A barbecue / fire bowl is also provided.

If you want to enjoy a soak in a hot tub there is a beautiful wood fired hot tub just a few yards away which can be hired for your own exclusive use.  For more hot tub info please visit our FAQ’s page

  •   Lovely place to camp alongside a slow river. The big round tent is ideal to socialise with friends in the evening with a good meal from the cosy kitchen after a day's hike. The owners are always there to help. Lovely place!

  •   Stephen was really helpful. Large pitch for our tent, perfect for our group. Basic facilities but that didn’t bother us. Compost toilets, may not be for everyone. Lovely site. Situated right on the River Eden.
